Modern Slavery Statement for Pressure Cleaning
Pressure Cleaning Ltd and its affiliates are resolutely opposed to all forms of modern slavery, including forced labour, human trafficking and exploitation in any part of our operations or supply chain. This statement sets out our zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery across our pressure washing operations, pressure-cleaning supply networks and sub-contractors. We commit to identifying, preventing and remedying any instances of abuse and exploitation of workers engaged in pressure cleaning services.Scope and application: This modern slavery statement applies to all employees, contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers providing materials or services to our pressure cleaning business. We apply the statement to on-site pressure washer teams, subcontracted cleaners and our procurement of detergents, equipment and rented machinery. Our approach includes due diligence on recruitment, wage practices and working conditions throughout our contracting chain.
Zero-tolerance policy: We have a zero-tolerance policy for modern slavery and related abuses. Any person or organisation found to be engaging in coercive labour practices, withholding of wages, falsified documents or withholding of personal identity documents will face immediate investigation and, where substantiated, contract termination and referral to the appropriate enforcement authorities. All managers and supervisors within our pressure cleaning operations are required to escalate concerns immediately and to document corrective actions.
Supplier audits and due diligence
To maintain transparency in our pressure washer supply chain we undertake risk-based supplier audits. These audits examine recruitment methods, payroll, working hours, accommodation arrangements and subcontracting practices for suppliers of pressure cleaning equipment and labour. Audit activities include site visits, worker interviews, document checks and remediation plans where deficiencies are found. We prioritise audits for high-risk suppliers and geographies.
Supplier standards require all vendors to adhere to our Code of Conduct which explicitly prohibits modern slavery and child labour. Contract clauses allow for periodic audits and the right to require corrective actions, including termination for non-compliance. We provide training to procurement teams on recognising signs of exploitation specific to pressure cleaning and associated trades, and we maintain records of audit outcomes and follow-up.
Reporting channels and protection
We provide multiple confidential reporting channels for anyone who suspects modern slavery in our pressure cleaning operations or supply chain. These channels include internal reporting lines, anonymous reporting mechanisms and direct escalation to senior compliance officers. We guarantee non-retaliation for whistleblowers and will protect the identity of reporters to the extent possible while pursuing investigations. Reports are triaged, investigated and tracked until closed.Training, awareness and worker engagement are core to prevention. All field staff, supervisors and procurement staff receive regular modern slavery awareness sessions tailored to the challenges of pressure-cleaning sites, mobile crews and temporary labour. We promote worker voice through direct worker interviews during audits and encourage suppliers to adopt worker feedback mechanisms that provide safe avenues for raising concerns without fear of reprisal.
When issues are identified we apply a structured remediation process: immediate risk mitigation, support for affected workers, corrective action plans with suppliers and monitoring of compliance. Severe breaches result in termination of supplier relationships, referral to law enforcement and collaboration with civil society organisations to ensure victim support. Our corrective steps are documented and shared internally to prevent recurrence.
Annual review and continuous improvement: We review this modern slavery statement and our policies at least annually to ensure effectiveness and relevance to evolving risks in pressure cleaning and pressure washer services. The annual review includes audit results, training completion rates, incident statistics and progress on remediation actions. We are committed to continuous improvement and transparency in how we eliminate modern slavery from our operations and supplier networks. By maintaining robust controls, regular supplier audits, accessible reporting channels and a firm zero-tolerance stance, we strive to ensure safe and dignified working conditions for all workers connected to our pressure cleaning business.
